North Northumberland is the perfect venue to get out Canoeing or kayaking. The River Tweed is a large majestic river marking the Border between England and Scotland for much of its lower journey to the sea at Berwick upon Tweed. This is a great place to finish a trip under the famous three bridges of Berwick - many of you will have crossed the Stephenson railbridge on the Great East coast Railway on the way to Edinburgh.
There is also some fantastic sea kayaking but only realy suitable for those with some experience of kayaking as there is not a great deal of shelter if the great North Sea is venting its anger after a bit of wind. Saying that there are some fantastic flat calm days also.
