Outdoors Northumberland - About Us
Outdoors Northumberland is a network of businesses and public sector partners interested in recreational outdoor activities. Members include cycling, walking, wildlife, horse-riding, watersports, multi-activity, photography and holiday guides and providers, as well as tourism specialists and representatives from Northumberland Tourism, the AONBs and Northumberland National Park.
Outdoors Northumberland was established in 2007 to build stronger relationships between public agencies and private business with the aim of enhancing Northumberland’s tourism offer. Since then the network has contributed to current tourism plans, brokered discussion and stimulated new initiatives such as the new Outdoors Activity Directory, published in conjunction with Northumberland Tourism.
The Northumberland Outdoors Activity Directory showcases Northumberland’s magnificent natural environment and lists outdoor activity providers and related organisations. As well as providing information for visitors it allows outdoors businesses to promote their services. The directory is available via the Brochure tab to your left, and can be found in local tourist information centres and on board DFDS Ferries.
